ADAPTER SLEEVE:

Adapter Sleeve are the components which increases your bearing life by giving it a proper sitting. Adapter sleeve are the generally used components for locating bearings with a tapered bore into a cylindrical seats they can be used on a simple or step by step shafts. This is cylindrical structure and industrial approved design. The sleeves are slit and supplied complete with a lock nut and locking device. Smaller sizes use a nut and lock washer. Large sizes use a nut and a locking clip or locking plate. They also adapt to shaft diameter, so that wider diameter tolerances can be permitted compared to the seat of bearing with a cylindrical bore.

HYDRAULIC ADAPTER SLEEVE :

HOH comes with the normal sleeves dimensions, Hydraulic Adapter Sleeve / HOH are recommended for shafts or large size sets because they are provided with oil injection gutters, making the assembling and specially the disassembling easier. These are available for shafts from 140 mm on. Custom hydraulic series also available on request.

WITHDRAWAL SLEEVE :

AH, AHX adapt themselves to the shaft diameter, while wider diameter tolerances can also be

permitted than for the seat of a bearing with a cylindrical bore. Used to x bearings with a

tapered bore on supported shafts(lean). With Withdrawal Sleeve the shaft must have a thread so

the nut can move the sleeve against the bearing. Lock nuts or end plates are not supplied with

withdrawal sleeves. KM or HM Lock nuts with appropriate locking devices are suitable, but must

be ordered separately.

Suxes Since 1997, there have been withdrawal sleeves with the sux G. The G indicates a

change of thread size. With withdrawal sleeves and adapter sleeves having dierent thread sizes,

attempts have been made to standardize them. These standardization eorts are inspired by a

desire to reduce nut variation.

HYDRAULIC WITHDRAWAL SLEEVE : Hydraulic Withdrawal Sleeve / AOH comes with the normal

sleeves dimensions, hydraulic Adapter Sleeve / AOH are recommended for shafts or large size

sets because they are provided with oil injection gutters, making the assembling and specially the

disassembling easier. Hydraulic Adapter Sleeve / AOH is available for shafts from 140 mm on.

Custom Hydraulic series also available on request. 

Lock nuts are used to locate bearings and other components onto a shaft or adapter sleeve. They

are also used for mounting bearings on tapered shaft seats and dismounting bearings from

withdrawal sleeves. Lock nuts have to be secured to prevent unintentional loosening. This is

done, either by a locking device that engages a key way in the shaft or key slot in the adapter

sleeve, or by a locking mechanism integrated in the nut. Lock nuts with an integrated locking

mechanism reduce the cost of the shaft as no key way is required. Installation is also quicker and

easier because no separate locking device is necessary. However, the loosening torque of these

lock nuts requires more attention.

The product codes for locknuts start with HM or KM.

Lock nuts of types KM, KML or HM, HML, and HMLL have four grooves on their outer diameter. By

contrast, the HM 30.. and HM 31.. ranges have eight grooves on their outer diameter and eight

thread bores for securing a locking clip. 

KT Precision locknuts are designed to provide better adjustment, preload and secure components to

spindle/ball-screw and other rotating machining elements. Our locknuts works better with bearings and are

capable of supporting axial loads with very high rigidity without loosening.

Lock washers, locking clips and locking plates are simple, stable and reliable fastening elements which

engage a keyway in the shaft or key slot in the adapter sleeve. The washer locks the nut inn position when

one of the washer tabs (tangs) is bent into one of the slots of the nut. Locking clips and locking plates are

attached to the nut by bolts. A locking clip consists of the clip, a hexagonal head bolt. A locking plate

consists of the plate, two hexagonal head bolts and a wire. This is an accessory of the sleeve, but with own

application. It function is to lock the nut to avoid its loose from the sleeve or its own shaft.

Type MB.. H mounting washers are used during mounting/dismounting with mounting screws. These

mounting washers prevent the mounting screws from damaging the bearing's inner ring or the

sleeve. Lock washers from the MB and MBL ranges are used to secure type KM, KML, and HM.. T lock nuts.
